About Beacon Elementary School

Greetings Beacon Community!

I am Tourqoise Cannon, and it is my privilege to introduce myself to you as the new principal of Beacon Elementary School!  This year marks my 22nd year in the field of education.  Prior to my current position I have served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Academic Engagement Administrator as well as an elementary classroom teacher. My goals this year include, increasing student achievement & attendance, supporting curriculum implementation, as well as building community among our staff, students, and families. It is my priority to collaborate and communicate with families as we work to nurture, challenge, and prepare students to be leaders in this community and beyond.
